SHTUBY- Made in China
The album records those precious time that how Israel electronic funk musician Shtuby met and became a cohesive partner with Nanjing native Pipa soloist Wu Dan and flute soloist Xia Guoxing in Nanjing China under the name of music. Their lingering charm of electronic traditional music is mixed with Wu Dan’s stillness, Xia Guoxing’s heroic and Shtuby’s wildness. In the album, there are seven non-lyric pieces of music which are performed in great harmony with Pipa, flute and musical synthesizers transforming from the ancient mysterious Central Asia elegance as well as the quintessence of Chinese culture presented by Pipa and flute into artificial color by Shtuby. It covers various music forms both of ancient and modern, Chinese and foreign via electronic beats. The three musicians are exploring new art possibilities with traditional instruments and electronic expressions through improvisation.
